About Chapman Properties
Del and Chris Chapman moved to Boise, Idaho from the Seattle area in 1985 and became real estate agents with Metropolitan Real Estate. The Chapman's soon moved into the property management profession and spent these early years developing their skills and knowledge eventually bringing on board their son, Patrick "PJ" Chapman who has since devoted the last 13 years to the company developing his expertise in the business of managing people and property. P.J. is an active member of both NARPM ( National Association of Residential Property Managers) and IREM, the Institute of real-estate management and remains certified as an RMP, (Residential Management Professional) and an ARM ( Accredited Residential Manager).
We found that working together as a family truly enriched our lives. In 2001 we were fortunate enough to acquire PJ's wife, Susan from her legal profession to come on board as office manager. Since then, Susan's skills in office management and fresh technological ideas have further enhanced Chapman Properties to a new level of efficiency. Susan is a graduate of Boise State University with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and is a proud mother of two beautiful children, Shae Michael, 3 and Sydona Rae, 5.
In December of 2006 we acquired our most recent addition to the family, Marilyn Grimsley, MPM ( Master Property Manager) RMP ( Residential Management Professional). The MPM certification is the highest designation available to property managers nationwide and is only obtained by the most knowledgeable, hard working and professional property managers in the nation. The MPM is a tremendous title to have and we congratulate Marilyn on her recent acquisition of this title. Marilyn came to us with over 20 years of Management experience from California, Nevada and Idaho. Marilyn was proudly serving as our local NAPRM President when she came on board with Chapman Properties. She has also spent several years dedicated to NARPM both locally and nationally serving as a member of the professional development committee and certification mentor as well as the 2008 local chapter Treasurer. Marilyn's continued hard work and dedication to our company and the property management profession is a blessing and we all love and enjoy the daily enthusiasm she brings to everyone she encounters. Going into the 2008 year both P.J. and Marilyn will continue to serve on our local NARPM Board of Directors as President elect ( P.J.) and Treasurer. ( Marilyn)
We are also proud to announce that while earning their RMP and MPM at our 2007 NARPM National Convention, P.J. was honored with the prestigious Rocky Maxwell Award, which is given to only one new member for recognition of accomplishments spanding the 1st year of NARPM membership. P.J. Dove right into this fantastic organization earning his RMP certificate, becoming a 2007 board member as education chair, successfully bringing several important educational classes to all treasure valley property managers and voted president elect for the 2008 year. This is a tremendous honor and we are very proud of P.J. and all he has accomplished.
Today, Chapman Properties is still family owned and operated and plans to continue this legacy for many years to come. We have been truly blessed over the years with the many friendships created with our owners and tenants.
